Bernardo on Man City’s season: ‘Very bad. In tough situations, you see people’s true faces and who you’d go to war with’
Bernardo Silva has called the current season a bad one for Manchester City.
“We’ve learned a lot—new things come to light in difficult times. First of all, you see who you’d go to war with, because it’s in tough situations that you see people’s true faces.
“A lot of it turned out to be useful for us: not taking [trophies] for granted, and this applies to both the fans and the entire club—not falling below our standard…
“It’s been a tough and very, very bad season for us. Something needs to change for the next one, but that’s up to the management to decide. I have my own opinion, but something definitely has to change when you don’t perform as you should,” said the Man City midfielder after the 0–1 defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.
