Kansas City just went 0-2 for the first time in the Mahomes era, and Chiefs Kingdom is officially losing its mind — but former Chiefs star Mitchell Schwartz is NOT having it.
The Super Bowl-winning offensive lineman took to social media yesterday and unleashed a fiery rant at fans calling for heads to roll after the team’s sluggish start.
“This is the last thing I’m going to say about this, so here goes: the team is 0-2 and a lot of people want to blame the Hall of Fame TE and say if he catches it we win. Then what, we’re 1-1 and feeling like wow we didn’t even play that great and beat Philly… That’s how close the margins are,” Schwartz wrote.
But he didn’t stop there — and things got SPICY.
Schwartz dragged critics for overreacting, reminding them the team just went toe-to-toe with the “best roster in football” and lost in brutal travel conditions in Brazil the week before.
“If you all want to think the world is ending because this team that’s had an unparalleled run of success lost TWO games to start the season… act like everyone needs fired, go ahead. I’m clearly not changing anyone’s mind but the lack of perspective is outrageous.”

Rumor has it Schwartz even threw a few DMs back at trolls who came for Mahomes, allegedly writing “You’d be crying for Alex Smith back if this was 2015.” 😳
