According to eyewitnesses, the former Celtics big man noticed smoke pouring out of a residential building. Inside, an elderly man who was unable to walk was desperately calling for help. Without hesitation, Tacko rushed into the burning home, lifted the man into his arms, and carried him to safety while flames closed in.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found Tacko already outside, covered in soot but calm, ensuring the man received medical attention.
