A foal аЬапdoпed by his mother just hours after birth has been nursed back to full health thanks to his nightly snuggles with a giant teddy bear.
Breeze the horse was аЬапdoпed shortly after birth in 2013 and taken in by The Mare and Foal Sanctuary at Upcott Park in Holsworthy, North Devon. To provide comfort and companionship, he was gifted Buttons, a large teddy bear intended to act as a surrogate mother. Since then, Breeze and Buttons have been inseparable.
Breeze has gained fame online, with heartwarming photos and a touching video of the pair receiving over two-and-a-half million views.

Breeze was given Buttons to keep him company, and the two have been inseparable ever since. New pictures show that although Breeze is all grown-up and now bigger than Buttons, his loyal old friend has barely left his side.
Tracey Dixon, the yard manager at The Mare and Foal Sanctuary, explained, “Thanks to consistent handling and regular training, Breeze is manageable, but our staff still need to watch him closely. He’s flourishing in the open spaces of North Devon, happily settled into a large herd and spending hours playing with other young horses. Eventually, we’ll find a new home for him when he’s ready.”
