Punches were thrown and helmets grabbed in a clash on the practice field.

Tight end Kelce and coach Reid were first on the scene to cool tempers.

The fight was between Chiefs offensive tackle Josh Simmons and defensive end Ashton Gillotte.

It’s unclear what caused the issue, but it occurred after a running play.

Footage captured by KCTV5 reporter Mark Poulose showed quarterback Patrick Mahomes handing the ball off.

The play then unfolded with Simmons and Gillette engaging in a block.

Neither man gave up any ground and they began shoving each other.

Punches were then thrown by the pair.

Teammates were quick to rush in to break up the fight.

And among them were tight end Kelce and coach Reid.

The players made their way back to the line of scrimmage as things cooled down.
