David Alaba is the latest Real Madrid player to be sidelined with an injury.
Injuries at this stage of the season practically rule a player out for the rest of the campaign.
Now, let’s take another look at Real Madrid’s list of injured players and when they are expected to return to full fitness.
Eder Militao – out until mid June
Militao is recovering from his second ACL injury in as many seasons. Real Madrid have really missed Militao this season.
Dani Carvajal – out until mid-June
Carvajal is also out with a serious knee injury. The Spanish right-back has not played since September last year.
Eduardo Camavinga – out until late May
Camavinga is out again with a hamstring problem. He should be okay before the Club World Cup.
David Alaba – out until July
It’s difficult to understand what the problem with Alaba is. He is a benchwarmer but still keeps getting injured.
Ferland Mendy – out until mid-June
Just like Alaba, Mendy simply cannot stay fit. Again, he’s out with a muscle injury.
Antonio Rudiger
After playing eight months in serious pain, Rudiger has now gone for knee surgery. Now, he hopes to be back for the Club World Cup.

Joan Martinez – out until early June
The young Martinez is the third Real Madrid player recovering from a serious knee injury. He’s expected back before the Club World Cup.
