A dog in labor tried to crawl into a backyard to give birth to her puppies. Her priority was to keep her babies safe. The outcome of her case has touched thousands of people.
Fortunately, there are more of us good people and her luck changed after a family was alerted when they heard her crying all night after going into labor.
When rescuers arrived, Lexus became frightened and tried to escape. However, neighbors rallied around the property and made sure he stayed within the boundaries of the property by creating makeshift fences.
After a brief chase they managed to capture her and put her in a safe place, then the rescuers proceeded to look for the puppies, the scene was even more heartbreaking, a bunch of puppies were lying on the ground.
Unfortunately, one of them had died, the others were fighting for their lives.
At first, the dog did not trust her rescuers, but after a few minutes she realized that they were there to help her and the puppies, and little by little she gave in to their charms.
When she was taken to the shelter, Lexus was breastfeeding her puppies when something unexpected happened. She felt a sharp pain in her stomach and crying was inevitable once again.
The vet decided to do an X-ray which revealed that she had a metal lid lodged in her stomach. It is believed that the dog had eaten garbage to stave off her hunger.
Finally, this brave mother is enjoying all the attention her rescuers are giving her.
