I was in the Navy but never on an aircraft. However, I remember that absolutely everybody took fire drills and fire-fighting training 100% seriously onboard ship. Just about every other aspect of Navy life had some joking around or goldbrickers. But there seemed to be a mutual understanding that fire was a serious business.
It’s amazing how many things can go wrong on one of those aircraft and how many things they have to learn to do to rescue themselves or rescue the pilots kudos to the US Navy and their extensive work and rescuing pilots and other personnel
The USNavy & Marine pilot training is the Best in the world. Months of training physically & Mentally. All college graduates. The “Wash-out” rate is unbelievable. 1 out of Every 100 or more even qualify for the flight program.
Your picture for the lead-in on this video is hilarious. An F/A-18 would never be able to land on a amphibious type carrier which would only have F-35Bs and A/V-8B Harriers.
simple fact checking would have helped this video. They lost me when they showed USAF aircraft flying. Just another useless compilation of aircraft videos. Fly Navy!
