Nature is brutal.
These beasts will even go after their own kind. No one is safe out there.
Bald eagles are large birds, they’re one of the largest birds of prey in North America. Adult eagles can have a wingspan of up to 7 feet and weigh up to 14 pounds.
Their diet consists primarily of fish, but they also eat small mammals, waterfowl, and dead animals, but they will take advantage of whatever prey is available.
Bald eagles are powerful hunters with amazing eyesight. Their eyes are specially adapted to detect movement from long distances, allowing them to spot potential prey from high in the sky. Once they’ve identified their target, eagles use their sharp talons to grab and hold onto their prey, while their strong beaks tear flesh from bone.
Bald eagles are territorial birds and will defend their nests and hunting territories fiercely. In some cases, this can lead to aggressive behavior, including eagle fights. These fights can be incredibly dramatic, with the birds locking talons and spiraling towards the ground. While they may look deadly, eagle fights are rarely fatal, and both birds usually survive.
This eagle didn’t get the memo though.
This bald eagle is seen dominantly standing on top of another eagle as feathers go everywhere in the wind.
The eagle actually reaches down and starts eating the other eagle before trying to fly off with the carcass. Unfortunately, the dead eagle seemed just a bit too heavy for the victor to fly away with.
Nature is tough, even your own kind can be after you.
