Real Madrid returned to training after beating Girona 2-0 in La Liga. They now prepare for their Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena on Wednesday night.
According to AS, Federico Valverde could be rested again. He did not train with the squad today, working indoors on recovery.
Ancelotti had already left him out against Girona, the first time since May 2024, after he played through discomfort against Manchester City.
Ancelotti was set to bring Valverde on against Girona, but Vinicius Junior’s goal changed his mind. A final decision on Valverde will be made on Tuesday before the squad travel to San Sebastian.
