Carl was only 2 pounds when he was found alone at a construction site. But despite his tiny beginning, the little guy soon grew into a big meatball.
Carl was found all alone at a construction site. He was so small he only weighed 2 pounds when he was taken to the vet. No one knows how he came to be there but luckily, he was found in time to save his life.
He spent 5 days at the hospital. His rescuer, Sasha, said she knew his bill would be huge. So, she started sharing his story and raising funds for his care. The actress and animal advocate Oliva Munn heard about him and even came to visit.
When she met Carl, he was very sick but a fighter. On day 3, a breakthrough happened when tiny Carl began to eat on his own for the first time. It was then they knew he would get better. It was a couple of days later that Olivia, who agreed to foster him, was able to take him home with her.
They soon discovered that Carl hated his crate and got very feisty when he was left behind. So, Olivia got him a sling and started taking him everywhere with her. He loved all the places they went, hiking, lunch, to meet friends. He loved all the attention he received from everyone he met.
Under her care, it wasn’t long before Carl was strong enough to start walking on his own. He even went on leash walks with his doggy friend. He loved all dogs and now that he was feeling better, his personality started to emerge.
He continued to get stronger every day. Soon, it became apparent that Carl was getting much better and would soon be ready for his forever home. So, they started to search and soon found the perfect person to adopt him.
Lee adopted Carl and also had another dog. She took him to the fire department with her; he loved hanging out and meeting people there. He continued growing and soon became a giant meatball of a dog.
Carl truly went from a sickly puppy to a thriving pup. He’s living his life to the fullest and is an advocate for all rescue dogs. He loves everyone he meets and his family adores him. Carl is living a life of adventure, all because of the rescuers and his foster that saved his life.
Sometimes it takes a village to save a dog but it’s always worth it. Carl makes the world a better place just because he’s in it. We hope you enjoyed his rescue story. Please feel free to share with your friends.
