Yep, if I needed any other reason to never cross paths with a grizzly bear, this one is it.
Of course, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that any kind of bear can be incredibly dangerous, especially if it’s a mama bear protecting her cubs.
This one all went down off the side of a road near Dawson Creek in British Columbia, Canada, and was filmed by Susan Griffith on August 31.
In the wild video footage, you can see a black bear that looks like it has already been mauled to death, while a grizzly continuously bites down on its head, neck, and spine, and then drags it like a rag doll.
Griffith pulled away, and the clip is further proof of just how brutal nature can be.
Although it’s unknown the events that led up to this point, grizzly bears have been known to hunt and kill black bears in areas where their territories overlap, according to Filed & Stream.
Needless to say, this larger grizzly asserted its dominance pretty aggressively, making light work of the black bear.
All I have to say is that I’m glad you won’t find any grizzly bears in my neck of the woods, and after watching this video, I don’t want to move anywhere where I could ever see them.
