Trent was handed multiple offers from Liverpool to extend his contract but he politely refused them as his sights were set elsewhere.
It is believed that Liverpool might’ve placed a salary offer worth around €400,000 per week to get Trent to stay.

The English defender will earn considerably less than that at Real Madrid, in his reportedly agreed five-year deal.
Trent is considered one of the best attacking right-backs in the world, with 92 assists for Liverpool before leaving them.
