Dog fighting is one of the cruelest illegal activities in existence. Every year, authorities manage to rescue hundreds of pets from breeding farms where the most deplorable conditions could make you feel great indignation.
.
In a huge field, the animals were kept tied with huge chains, out in the open, with a rudimentary wooden shed to shelter them from the sun or the humidity. Many animals were dehydrated and malnourished.
Timmy was one of the survivors of this unfortunate reality that we must fight at all costs. The puppy was one of the youngest of the hundreds of dogs found in this clandestine camp for fighting dogs.
A huge padlock and an equally thick chain hung from his fragile neck. Could they find a way to make him forget all this mistreatment? They believed that not all was lost for Timmy, considering that he was only eight weeks old.
Fourteen individuals were arrested as suspects. These individuals apparently not only organized clandestine fights between animals, but also raised and trained innocent dogs to participate in these illegal activities.
Timmy was among the survivors and was taken to the Calvert County Humane Society in Maryland for care. It was a long process, but eventually the pup found the perfect family and not only that, he became the central figure of the ASPCA!
