The Stray Dog Who Tried to Steal a Stuffed Toy Returns to the Store, Touching the Hearts of the Employees

Remember Sisu? This dog was living on the streets. We heard his story a few days ago, after being caught repeatedly by staff at the Dollar General store in Kenansville trying to steal a fluffy purple unicorn.

Now, this little one is about to begin a new journey where he will be prepared to be adopted. He will be transferred to the Lab Rescue LRCP shelter facilities, but he couldn’t leave without saying goodbye in the best way possible.

It was Animal Control Officer Samantha Lane who fulfilled the puppy’s wish by buying the unicorn with her own money after being unable to resist the puppy’s look of dismay before being taken to the Duplin County Animal Services shelter.

Sisu developed such a close friendship with the employees at the Dollar General store that he couldn’t leave for the Lab Rescue LRCP shelter ranch without first making one last visit to the place where he found his best plush friend.

After saying goodbye to his friends at the farm, being showered with cuddles and hugs, Sisu is now ready to go to the ranch. Here, the little one will be rehabilitated, until he manages to change his unfriendly behavior towards other animals due to his painful past.

It will be a long process before Sisu is put up for adoption. Fortunately for him, there are already many applications from families all over the world interested in giving him the home he so deserves, even applications have been received from Australia and Russia. Congratulations on Sisu, our best wishes are with him!

This dog’s story confirms that there are hundreds of amazing animals waiting for a second chance at life. So, before you buy, look at homeless dogs, you’re sure to find your best friend. Share.
