Thousands of dogs are abandoned by the families who once promised to care for them and gave them countless happy and unforgettable moments. They end up in the most inhospitable places, unaware of what they’ve done wrong and with their hearts completely broken.
Peters wasn’t at the shelter at the time, but he was informed of everything that was happening by one of the staff members. The entire shelter team quickly began addressing the poor dog’s multiple problems: primarily an upper respiratory infection, conjunctivitis, and teeth issues .
The dog was named Annabelle and despite all the suffering she has been through, she maintains a positive attitude.
Fortunately, the adorable little dog has now been adopted and is completely happy in the loving home she always deserved. She has left all her physical and psychological wounds behind, alongside her new canine sibling and family. Our best wishes are with her.
Without a doubt, Annabelle’s sad life story reminds us of the importance of caring for animals and never treating them as mere objects that can easily be thrown into the trash. They are living beings who feel and suffer, as much as, if not more than, we do. It is in our hands to make a better world for animals and for all of nature.
