We cannot deny that stray dogs live a life of hardship; many of them are victims of unfair treatment, leaving deep scars, not only physical but emotional.
This is the story of a pit bull dog who had plenty of reasons to be quite aggressive with the volunteers at Stray Rescue of St. Louis .
At first, they didn’t understand the dog’s reaction, but after a few minutes, they noticed the tiny barks of newborn puppies . The dog’s defiant attitude already made perfect sense; she was just being a protective mother to her pups .
The place was very unsafe; the lives of the furry ones were at risk if they were left there. The rescuers created a humane trap that worked, despite having intensified the mother’s growls.
“Even before she was reunited with her babies, her behavior changed completely. It was as if she understood exactly what was happening. Dogs are pretty smart, you know.”
Finally, the brave mother was reunited with her babies once again, this time in a safe place with people who would look out for their well-being .
Thanks to the entire rescue team for taking a chance and giving this sweet family a second chance . Without a doubt, no one can refuse a gesture of love, and this little dog understood it was the best thing for her and her puppies.
