The tension between Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool star, and Arda Güler, Real Madrid player, has resurfaced after Hungary’s defeat against Turkey with a score of 6-1 in the UEFA Nations League matches.
During the return match, which ended with Turkey winning 3-0, Güler scored a goal and celebrated with a silence gesture directed at Szoboszlai, in a moment that sparked controversy, especially since their friendly encounter last March witnessed similar tension.
Szoboszlai responded in his own way through a sarcastic comment on a post from the ‘nso.hu’ account on Instagram, where he wrote the number 1088, referring to the total minutes Güler has played with Real Madrid this season, compared to his strong presence with Liverpool.

For his part, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, captain of the Turkish national team, previously called for Güler to be given more opportunities at Real Madrid, stating: “He deserves more playing time.”
Meanwhile, coach Vincenzo Montella praised Güler’s development, saying: “He has matured a lot personally and technically, and he is an exceptional talent.”
