Real Madrid looked set to sign River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono, but PSG have now taken the lead. According to AS, the French club are pushing hard to get the 17-year-old, and Luis Enrique has already spoken to the player several times.

The report claims PSG have made direct contact and are confident about reaching an agreement. Real Madrid, on the other hand, have not made a formal offer.

They reportedly want to focus on Arda Guler’s development and avoid blocking his progress.

“Real Madrid believe Mastantuono fits their style,” AS wrote, “but the club see no need to rush given the presence of Brahim Diaz and the expected return of Nico Paz.”
