Thibaut Courtois has returned to the Real Madrid squad for their crucial Champions League quarter-final tie against Arsenal, while Andriy Lunin has been left out. The Belgian shot-stopper, who has been recovering from long-term knee injuries, is back in contention at a vital point in the season.
Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos have both been left out of the travelling squad. Mendy has not recovered in time from a femoral biceps rupture sustained last month, while Ceballos is back in partial training but not ready for selection.
Meanwhile, youngsters Chema, Gonzalo Garcia and Lorenzo Aguado have all been included in the squad. The trio, who feature regularly for Real Madrid Castilla, will provide additional depth as Los Blancos look to manage a demanding fixture list.
Real Madrid are aiming to take a step closer to another European final and will hope the returning presence of Courtois can bolster morale in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter in London.
