Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised his team for their emotional resilience and performance in their 3-1 victory against Chelsea in the 23rd round of the Premier League. Guardiola also addressed the challenges of managing an aging squad and the team’s tough schedule.
“We needed it. We were better with the ball and better in many other aspects.
“Emotionally, they come back incredibly well. Chelsea, we know the talent they have – it was really good.
“We were tired because we have an old team.
“We have had a tough period because playing Ipswich and then three days ago in Paris – it was really tough for the physicality,” Guardiola has commented on.
With the win, Manchester City moved up to 4th place in the Premier League standings with 41 points from 23 matches.
