Satanley is a little dog who was saved by a miracle, thanks to the intervention of a rescuer who could not bear the idea of this furry friend being put to sleep.

Ready to be put to sleep in just a few hours, this dog’s destiny took a surprising turn and that’s why we want to tell you about his moving story.

Perrito

In December, just two days before Christmas Eve, a dog was terrified and sad in a shelter with a high mortality rate.

It turns out that boy was Stanley, a pit bull with a serious mange problem. His condition was so critical that it had prevented him from opening his eyes.

It was Cathy Stanley from Camp Cocker Rescue who tried to stop Stanley from receiving the lethal injection. She decided to help him, but the furry one’s condition was really critical and the young woman didn’t know if she could take care of him.

Confused, she decided to make a video of the furry one at the Sanctuary of Los Angeles. She would take care of him, but she was afraid she wouldn’t do it properly.

The video spread like wildfire across the internet and that’s when Dave Schofield of Respect-A-Bull, a bull terrier rescue breeder on Vancouver Island, Canada, contacted Cathy.

Dave facilitated Stanley’s transfer, they would take him in temporarily to begin to heal the little dog. Although later his destiny would be marked by the arms of another family.

Cathy’s video was totally worth it, but so was her decision to get the dog out of the place before he was put down.

After that, Dave’s intervention was enough to get Stanley completely healed both physically and spiritually and ready to meet his new family.

Now Stanley is part of a loving family and has become the protector of the couple’s youngest son, a baby just a few months old.

Ultimately, this little dog’s destiny was not in the cages of that shelter where he had been destined to end his life and you only have to see him to be sure of that.

Stanley’s story also bore great fruit, as Camp Cocker and Respect-A-Bull continue to work together to help save many dogs in need.
