Nicolo Schira reports that AC Milan have rejected an initial bid from Manchester City for Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, with the Premier League champions offering between €45–50m. The Rossoneri are holding firm, valuing the 26-year-old at €75–80m, especially after his standout performances this season.

Reijnders, who joined Milan from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for around €20m, has quickly become a key figure in Milan’s midfield. His contributions have not gone unnoticed, earning him a place in the Serie A Team of the Season and the title of Serie A Best Midfielder for the 2024–25 campaign.

The club has reached an agreement with the midfielder on a contract extension until 2030, making him one of the highest-paid players in the squad. Notably, the new deal does not include a release clause, allowing Milan to set their own terms for any potential transfer.

The club’s management is optimistic about retaining Reijnders, especially given his integral role in the team and his recent commitment to a long-term contract.
As the summer transfer window approaches, the situation remains dynamic. While Manchester City are keen to bolster their midfield options, Milan’s firm stance and Reijnders’ recent contract extension suggest that any potential transfer would require a significantly higher bid.
