Man City have sent a warning to their Premier League rivals that they are planning to build a super team in their biggest transfer window ever, to reclaim what they have lost.

the first time since 2016/17 , club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has insisted striker Erling Haaland will be the man to lead the club into a new decade of glory. After Man City failed to win any major domestic trophies for
Guardiola had won 15 trophies before last season’s trophyless spell. But Khaldoon declared: “We will come back, and the aim is to build something even better. Erling is the world’s top goalscorer.

We have his absolute commitment to everything about Man City. He is an incredible talent, a great person and at the perfect age.
As we look to the next 10 years, Erling will be at the heart of our plans. The history is beautiful – but now it’s time to write a new chapter. The future lies in what we can do together.
We started planning for next season in January. We will learn from the good and bad things this season, improve and become stronger.”

In his end-of-season interview with the club, chairman Khaldoon made no mention of the 130 allegations of breaching financial regulations – allegations that Man City strongly deny.
The allegations are now being examined by an independent commission. Khaldoon told fans: “The great thing about football is that there is always a new season. And today, we can turn the page. The season is over. The results are clear – what we achieved and what we did not achieve. It’s very clear.

There were a lot of factors that were not in our favour. Last summer, we should have been more decisive in making some necessary changes. We didn’t do that and it cost us. But we started rebuilding the squad in January.”
In the winter transfer window, Man City spent £172 million to recruit striker Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt, along with defenders Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and midfielder Nico Gonzalez from Porto.

“Super striker” Haaland himself also signed a new 10-year contract with a huge salary in January.
And that’s not the end of their spending spree, with chairman Khaldoon saying: “We have identified our targets, the positions we need to strengthen, and have a clear list of first and second choice players.
We will conduct the transactions in a transparent and quick manner. The goal is to have the new squad ready before entering the Club World Cup.”
