The Lakers star confesses to being a car nut… and his new ‘apple of his eye’ is an ultra-exclusive and very, very powerful saloon

Luka Doncic is undoubtedly the player of the moment in the NBA, the protagonist of the most talked about trade in the recent history of the American competition (from Dallas Mavericks to Los Angeles Lakers)… and of the playoffs, where the purple and gold are currently facing Minnesota in the Pacific Division semifinals.
The Slovenian, a former Real Madrid player, is not only a basketball star, but also a car ‘freak’, something he has now confirmed in a special that the NBA has done on its biggest star.
Luka Doncic can’t believe how the referees have a lot more preference for the Timberwolves
On the court or in a car, Luka’s always loved to drive 🏀🚗

A childhood passion
“My passion for cars comes from when I was a child,” explains the Los Angeles forward. “First it was basketball, but then cars. I liked to play with miniatures and since I was a child I had pictures of cars on my computer.”

Something that could be intuited from some of the machines he has been seen with in recent years. The most famous and memorable is the stunning Apocalypse 6×6, but the ‘wonderboy’s’ favourite is another one as exclusive as that off-roader… although with a different ‘temperament’.

This is a Brabus Rocket 1000 that appears driving at one point in the documentary. A sports sedan based on the Mercedes CLS but with the radical touch of the tuner and which is very exclusive… for several reasons. One of them is explained by the Slovenian himself: “there are only 25 units in the world and it is definitely my favorite car”

The other can be easily deduced from its name. The 1,000 horsepower of the Brabus Rocket catapults it to beyond 300 km/h. No less impressive are its acceleration figures: 2.6 seconds for 0-100 and less than 10 (9.5) for 0-200 km/h

“It has 1,000 horsepower so it’s very powerful, but what I like most is its design, even on the inside, with the red details it has. But I also like it for the driving: it’s a car that you always enjoy,” adds Doncic, who, although he doesn’t say its price… we say it: around 500,000 euros.
