Manchester United are determined to strengthen their midfield for the upcoming season and have identified Federico Valverde as a key addition to their new project under Ruben Amorim. According to Fichajes, the English club is preparing an offer of €100m to Real Madrid to secure the services of the 26-year-old Uruguayan midfielder.
Valverde has been a crucial part of Carlo Ancelotti’s system in recent years, known for his versatility, work rate, and ability to make impactful runs into the box. In the current season, he has played 46 matches, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists, demonstrating his significant contribution to the team.
Manchester United view Valverde not only as an immediate asset to strengthen their squad but also as a player with long-term potential to lead the midfield. The club sees him as a future cornerstone of their team in the Premier League.
However, Real Madrid have no urgent desire to sell the midfielder. With a contract lasting until 2029 and a key role in Ancelotti’s plans, the club is not looking to part ways with Valverde. While United’s bid is substantial, it remains uncertain whether it will be enough to persuade the Madrid board to let go of one of their most valuable players.
