Recently a pet was abandoned at an animal shelter in Delaware, United States. As happens with many pets that suffer the same fate, this poor little animal had problems regarding its diet and hygiene .
Sky is a six-year-old Pitbull type dog. How do we know? Because of the note that her former owner left with her before abandoning her in the shelter in question .
Thanks to the visibility that this type of institution has on social networks, when Sky’s case became known, many people made monetary donations for the maintenance , medical attention and care that would return this pet to good health and well-being.
Apparently, the person behind this abandonment is currently homeless living on the streets. This was at least the justification given to the Delaware campus for leaving its mascot aside.
They have verified that, as Sky’s owner states, the pet is extremely loving with people , so they hope that it will not be a problem to give him a home very soon .
In total, because of Sky he managed to raise more than 1,000 dollars and as reported by the same people from the Delaware Humane Association, there are several families interested in taking care of the Pitbull, so we hope that his story has a happy ending very soon.
The number of pets that are constantly abandoned in shelters is worrying, but luckily they have a place where they are given new hope.
