Cases of abandonment abound and although some animals manage to endure in one way or another the calamities that life on the street entails, there are others that have a terribly hard time. The following is one of those stories that moves us to the depths of our guts.
As the Samaritan woman was on her way to work one winter day, she was shocked to discover a fainting dog on the icy pavement. She immediately approached to try to revive her but when she saw that she did not react, her tears began to flow.
The woman decided to save her, so she took her in her arms and took her to the vet. Upon arriving at the office, the professional was stunned by the dog’s body temperature. His organs were failing and they feared he was going into a coma.
The case was not easy, so he deserved to be transferred to a hospital with a specialized team to stabilize him. The little animal would need surgery on its pelvis but first they had to make sure that it would resist it, in that condition they could not operate on it.
The furry one spent several weeks under strict observation, until miraculously she managed to recover enough to be discharged.
Throughout the entire recovery process that she went through, Varya was monitored not only by the veterinary team, but by Paw Rescue. This organization would be in charge of finding a suitable home for the dog.
This lady saved Varya’s life and became so fond of the creature that once she saw it recovered, she was not willing to abandon it. There is no doubt that on the day she found her, her fate had been crushed forever. If it hadn’t been for the woman, this furry would not have survived.
