Elderly blind dog, abandoned in a shelter, clung with all her heart to the person who gave her love for the first time

All small puppies are beautiful, they charm with their cute features, their pranks generate tenderness instead of annoyance. Puppy owners are always ready to overlook anything they come up with.

Another reason for abandoning pets is age and the serious illnesses that can occur with it, such as blindness and various types of diseases, to name a few.

One day, Elaine Seamans, a volunteer at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center shelter in Los Angeles, came to the shelter where she was staying and took photos with her.

Thanks to John’s photos, Muñeca’s plight went viral, and that’s how the Frosted Faces Foundation rescued her from the shelter where she had only been for two days.

And so, suddenly Muñeca, who had no hope of being adopted anymore, had a long line of people ready to give her their love. Of all people, the Foundation chose Amy Gann.

“We get a lot of people interested in Muñeca, we research them and talk to other people who know them,” said Kelly Smísek, director of the Frosted Faces Foundation.

Amy Gann and Doll get along famously: she gives her baths, takes her on picnics, and she is truly loved by her new family.

“My family is very close, and now Muñeca is a part of it, too, and she already feels like our new baby,” said Amy Gann.

The Frosted Faces Foundation is confident that it made the right choice and that Amy will give Muñeca a good life, full of love and the care that is necessary for her age and condition.

Muñeca has a new family that has brought back to her life the light that she can no longer see with her tired eyes.
