James is the one who engaged Smith, confronting him for certain things the media personality had said about Bronny James in the past. The general premise of James’ rant to Smith was to keep Bronny’s name out of his mouth. Smith had said some unsavory things about Bronny’s basketball future and the way LeBron has parented him. That obviously didn’t sit right with LeBron
Smith has come out to give his take on the situation, saying he believes LeBron should have contacted him privately prior to the on-court discussion. While Smith gave his side of the story, Bronny first responded to the whole situation in a perfect way: without words and sharing a picture of him with his father.

Although Bronny clearly tried to stay calm and ignore it at first, it was impossible for him to not say something. In turn, he showed the strong connection he has with his father, which was further strengthened after LeBron stood up for him.
