Real Madrid will reportedly be the first to know if Arsenal decide to sell William Saliba. During the Gunners’ recent visit to Madrid, both clubs discussed several topics, including the French defender’s future.

According to DefensaCentral, Arsenal agreed to inform Real Madrid if they decide to let Saliba leave. Though not a formal agreement, it gives Real Madrid the first chance to assess whether they are interested in pursuing his signing.

Saliba’s current contract with Arsenal runs until 2027. Despite this, Real Madrid could have the opportunity to move ahead of other clubs if Arsenal ever consider letting him go.
Saliba, a highly-rated talent, fits the profile of the type of player Real Madrid have been looking for: young, talented, and with potential for growth.
