That is likely going to be the case for Nico Williams this summer.
According to multiple reports in Spain, first from Marca, Real Madrid have showed up for Williams and are prepared to pay his €55-60m release clause.
If that is the case, there’s almost no way Williams will say no to Real Madrid.
Athletic Bilbao have already sent a public message using their former player Fernando Llorente.
Speaking on Radio Marca, Llorente said: “It’s clear [Nico] is a difference-maker.
“I advise him to make his decision with his heart and, if he leaves, to leave Athletic on the right foot,” Llorente said.
