Arda Guler has reportedly warned Florentino Perez that he will leave Real Madrid if Carlo Ancelotti remains in charge next season. The quote was shared by Real Madrid Confidencial, who claim Guler said, “I won’t stay next year if Ancelotti stays.”
Guler joined Real Madrid last season but has struggled for minutes under Ancelotti. The 20-year-old midfielder has remained patient until now but is frustrated by his lack of opportunities.
Despite being under contract until 2029, Guler has now made his stance clear. He wants more playing time and does not believe that will happen if Ancelotti continues.
Perez will now have to decide between keeping Guler or backing Ancelotti.
