Real Madrid’s pursuit of Argentine sensation Franco Mastantuono is nearing completion, with the club’s scouting team, led by Juni Calafat, in Buenos Aires to finalize the deal.

The 17-year-old River Plate playmaker has reportedly made up his mind to join the Spanish giants after a conversation with Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso.
According to sources, Mastantuono informed his Argentina national team teammates of Alonso’s call, which seemingly sealed his decision.
Real Madrid have been tracking Mastantuono for two years and is eager to secure his services before PSG intervenes.
The club plans to utilize Mastantuono’s €45 million release clause but might aim to negotiate a lower fee by waiting until the winter transfer window, when he has six months left on his contract.
Although Mastantuono cannot be signed immediately due to his age, he has expressed his desire to don the Real Madrid shirt.
