A mysterious and small animal was seen in early January in an unfortunate condition, the first time they saw it was in the center of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, behind a pet store.
His fur was so hurt that you could hardly identify what type of animal it was .
After a month and a half of constant attempts and failures to catch the animal, they knew that time was exhausted . He had located some traps for the community but had not worked, so they decided to install a food station and a camera.
For several days they observed the animal’s movements through the chamber, learned their habits and finally managed to approach him .
When moving the animal home, they realized that they were facing one of the stories of the strongest sarcotics that they had treated . In this regard, Roe commented:
“He lived inside a shell of his own skin. He probably had 2 inches thick throughout his body , hands and feet. ”
Given the delicate situation facing the animal, pain and itching was inevitable , but fortunately, it had the support of two wonderful beings willing to help him get ahead.
When the treatment constantly performs, after a few days the identity of the animal was revealed .
The Mapache was called Senior Hobo , after several weeks of treatment, he began to reveal some positive changes that cheered the heart of his caregivers.
Little by little, the little animal returned to life , his fur was healing, his eyes had another brightness, he was stronger and wanting to continue improving.
His rescuers have decided to recreate his own space in which he can feel comfortable, now he lives in an exterior enclosure with a slide, a den, two pools and trees to climb .
He acknowledges that Robin and Roe were the ones who saved their lives and seems to have accepted them as their friends, let them feed and clean it.
This brave animal loves to sleep nap on its slide, and swim in its pool at night. In this regard, Roe stood out:
“He’s climbing again, he’s running, he’s playing. He has a small routine and I think he is very happy right now . ”
Life for this brave Mapache changed completely thanks to the fact that two people did not give up and opted to improve the quality of life of an animal that believed that everything was lost. His hair continues to grow and every day that passes he is stronger.
“He has lived a very long life, but the last year has been miserable. Now, everything has changed: he is a happy child . He is happy and relaxed. It’s amazing, it really is. ”
