For one innocent pitbull, being as loving as he could be wasn’t enough. He was abandoned by his owners at a shelter just because they were having a fifth baby.
The perfect example is Stormy, a 2-year-old pitbull, who despite everything has never stopped being a kind, loving and playful dog.
Everything was rosy until their owner became pregnant and had her fifth child. This was the moment when they decided they could no longer keep him.
Alana Guerrini, a volunteer and foster carer for Eleventh Hour Rescue, an organization dedicated to finding homes for shelter dogs, heard about Stormy and rushed to get him out quickly.
Stormy had only been inside for a couple of hours, but she needed to get out urgently.
So, Alana and her 16-year-old son went to pick up poor Stormy from the shelter to take him home to New Jersey and take care of him until they found a family who could take care of him.
They couldn’t believe how her previous family could have left such a special dog like Stormy, so Alana decided to be very picky about who she gave her to.
