The young man from Berazategui, Buenos Aires, took in the dog, who had been neglected because of the appearance of his face.
The dog formerly named Coco had been through four homes where they promised to make him truly happy, but they failed. So when Luciano took in Thanos, there were many doubts about it.
Given his condition, the dog needed special care, and not everyone was willing or fully prepared to provide it. A loving family was there for him throughout much of the process, but ultimately decided to throw in the towel.
At 21, Luciano lived one of his most difficult experiences, and for him the difficulty was not the care that Thanos required but the little time he would have to make him happy.
At that moment, the young man realized he had only one mission left to accomplish: to pamper Thanos until the very end. Only his attention and displays of love would make the puppy happy and somehow ease his pain.
Although for Thanos, sleeping in his dad’s arms seemed like the best medicine. Luciano didn’t manage to save him from cancer, but he did manage to save him from loneliness, as no one knows what would have happened to the little dog if it hadn’t been for the young man.
Luciano is perhaps the most generous person we know, and although saddened by the loss of his friend, he feels reassured that in life he gave him everything he could have given.
