A hungry leopard was given a reminder as to exactly who is the king of the jungle when a lioness came strolling along and stole its dinner.

Its lone dining experience was not to be however as a lioness came wandering over after overhearing the commotion.
Observing from a safe distance, the tourist films as the lion walks directly towards the leopard currently guarding its dinner.
Deciding that a fight against the king of the jungle is not the wisest thing to do, the leopard jumps to its feet and heads off into the bush.
It leaves behind its dinner after all its hard work in bringing the animal down.
The lioness then runs towards the warthog and with one swift move picks it up into the air in its extremely strong jaw.

The leopard is nowhere to be seen as the lion then heads into the trees and presumably back to its cubs with dinner for the family.
Since appearing online the video has received comments from viewers praising the intelligence of the lioness.
One wrote: ‘That’s a lion for you! Smart as hell. Let someone else do the hard labour, then steal the rewards! You gotta love a lion!’
Others appeared to side with the leopard however, with one writing: ‘Lions steal more carcasses from hyenas than the other way around. And that lion is stealing that carcass!’
