Sometimes, one small act of kindness can make a world of difference for those who need it most. Just ask Paulo De Tarcio Carvalho.
When presented with the chance to save a little family, he didn’t hesitate to do so.
Earlier this month, while driving near his home in Brazil, Carvalho spotted several animals moving in the road ahead. Drawing closer, he realized it was an armadillo mom with three babies.
Though Mom was able the scale the curb along the roadside, her little ones were apparently unable to cross that hurdle. So, together, they explored the area for another option, not aware of the danger posed by cars on the street they stood in.
Carvalho then decided to stop his truck to help — collecting each baby, one by one, to deliver them to safety.

As Carvalho collected her babies, the armadillo mom stood watch, even stepping closer to receive a reassuring pat as he went about his lifesaving work.
