There are people who look indifferently on those who need help and, despite having the resources, do not dedicate themselves to being supportive. However, this is not the case of this little boy who, moved by the power of love, decided to help an animal in danger.
The life-or-death moment occurred on the busy Lauro Müller Avenue in Itajaí, Brazil, when the stray dog was hit by a car while trying to cross the street and the careless driver did not even stop to check on him.
The boy put his life at risk as he ran between moving cars to get the little dog off the pavement. Jean would not let the creature be run over and die before his eyes again, so he acted out of that desire and his bravery.
Jean took the little dog in his arms and decided to take him to the vet. Mel, as the boy decided to name him, did not suffer any irreparable damage. His life was saved by Jean who acted at the right time.
These types of events are not at all unusual in Itají and the veterinarian who treated the dog seems not to have been shocked by the accident but by Jean’s good will.
This boy showed that he had much more courage and a nobler heart than many adults.
