The abandonment of puppies and any other animal that only deserves love and compassion is something we will never be able to understand… and it is unforgivable by God!
Buddy is a 2-year-old dog who had the terrible luck of having the worst owners in the world. The volunteers at Rescue Dogs Rock in New York were alerted to the alarming condition he was in, but they never imagined they would find something like this.
In a post from last Tuesday, they told their story, heartbreaking and filling millions of people on social media with indignation and helplessness:
“Meet Buddy… This is where he calls home, living on the side of the road in a field, inside an old, dirty couch thrown away like trash,” is part of the post that quickly went viral.
“Buddy deserves much more than to live like this, homeless and sick. He has been living here for months, looking for food and escaping death every day, avoiding being hit by cars. All this time his health has deteriorated and now he is very sick,” they added.
The saddest thing was that his skin was covered in mange and completely infected; to make matters worse, he was infested with fleas and ticks.
They also broadcast heartbreaking scenes of the poor dog being found, especially his reaction when he realized that someone finally had a bit of compassion for him.
Later, the rescue shared images of Buddy being treated by veterinarians. These photos are the minimum reflection of everything this furry friend suffered in the open air because of humans.
“Buddy is certainly not trash, he is an amazing companion who deserves respect and love. You can see his legs are red and raw, all due to a severe skin condition that is due to homelessness, lack of care, and lack of love,” they said.
