If any dog inspires tenderness, the Chihuahua is one of them. Just looking at their sweet little face inspires us to protect them and give them affection, but not all people seem to feel that way.
It all happened in Vineland, New Jersey, the chihuahua dog named Coco was found in a huge garbage bag, very close to the tracks of a train in New Jersey in the United States. The terrible event has no explanation or justification.
According to a post by the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter on their Facebook account, a human was walking his dog and the dog started sniffing around and directed him in a certain direction.
He approached to try to figure out what was strange and noticed a mysterious bag.
“She noticed a bag on the ground, saw it move and heard something inside,” the post read.
There was no time to waste, and although she had no idea how long the dog had been in that condition, she only knew that she had to act and take her to a place where she could be treated promptly.
“She immediately picked up the bag and took it to the shelter. Inside was a young Chihuahua. She and the bags were soaked,” the shelter added.
The Chihuahua was rescued and the staff reported that the conditions in which she was found were really sad, they were touched when they received her, even though they have seen many animals in similar circumstances.
She was given first aid, the appropriate specialized medical attention, and fed.
She now rests clean and fresh in the institution, feeling protected, after the good man found her and took her out of where she was.
In addition to the tender images of the white and brown Chihuahua, the shelter shared an emotional video that moved social media users. They all rejected the act committed against such a small and defenseless dog.
The shelter notified the Vineland Police Department. A public appeal was issued for anyone who knew how Coco could have gotten there.
The furry one is not currently available to complete the necessary adoption process, although she already has loving new parents eagerly awaiting her.
Before leaving with her permanent family, the little girl must go through a series of stages that prepare her for that important moment. Coco is patient and knows how to wait, the most important thing is that she is well and very happy.
