An elephant at the Liwonde National Park in Malawi was lucky to escape from a crocodile after the reptile snapped hold of his trunk.
Malawi-born Alexander Amuli M’betti Makanga filmed the entire encounter and shared it with Central African Wilderness Safaris. In the video, a stealthy crocodile jumps from the water and, with its powerful jaws, grabs an elephant’s trunk.
The elephant immediately panics and tries to get away, but the crocodile holds on. The entire herd is frightened and backs away, but luckily the elephant eventually escapes from the crocodile’s grip!
