James, the oldest active player in the NBA at 41, began his career with Cleveland.
He was drafted as the No. 1 overall pick by the organization in 2003.
LeBron grew up in nearby Akron, Ohio, and has always held the Cavaliers and the city close to his heart.
The team decided to celebrate his achievements in a Cavs jersey during Wednesday’s clash at the Rocket Arena.
During the first-quarter, a video was played featuring highlights of James’ epic performance in the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals.
LeBron could be seen sitting on the benches and watching the video on the jumbotron.
He wiped away tears with his jersey before running back out to join his teammates.
“I’m just trying to take everything in, not take the moments for granted,” James said after the game.
“Because it could be [my last season].
“I obviously haven’t made a decision on the future, but it very well could be.”

James has yet to confirm if he will return for another season in 2026.
The Lakers are currently 28-18 and sit fifth in the Eastern Conference.
LeBron is a four-time NBA champion but has been chasing his illusive fifth ring since 2020.
On the court, it was a night to forget for the four-time MVP.
He boasted an impressive 9-3 record as a road player in Cleveland prior to tip-off.
But James had one of his worst games of the season with just 11 points on 3-for-10 shooting and six turnovers.
“I think there’s certainly emotions always for him coming back here,” Lakers coach JJ Redick said.
“You could see that being back here is very important to him.
“And you know, there’s a human element to all of this.”
