Ever seen a brown bear on a boat enjoying a spot of fishing? Well, now you have
Archie is a rescued brown bear. His owner, Veronika Dichka, likes to spend a lot of time with him fishing on a lake in their native Novosibirsk, Russia.
Veronika rescued Archie from a safari park that was running out of business two years ago and she has kept him as a pet ever since.
The pair are like any other friends, cherishing each other’s company, and the video and pictures show them enjoying some quality time on the water.
And also on land…
With fishing rods in hand, Veronika waits for any bites whilst Archie is keen to jump in and hunt the food for himself.
Veronika said: “He sees me as a member of his family, we share food, sleep in my arms when afraid, and hide behind me. We rescued him from the safari park but can’t release him into the wild as he has lived in captivity his whole life.
“Archie spends every day with us and is madly in love with water. He loves it very much when I take him to new places, so this shoot was a pleasure for him!”
