Patrick Mahomes on whether NFL officials favor the Chiefs: 'The referees are doing their best' - Newsday

Los Angeles — Patrick Mahomes, the two-time Super Bowl MVP and face of the NFL, has never been known to wade into controversy — until now.

Patrick Mahomes Has to Add a Comma His Tweet About Aaron Rodgers' Injury

At a recent charity gala in Beverly Hills, Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes shocked the entertainment crowd when they openly condemned what they called “Hollywood’s dangerous obsession with raising gender-free kids.”

When asked about Jennifer Flavin Stallone’s viral comments on the lack of structure in modern parenting, Patrick didn’t hesitate:

“I love my kids more than anything,” he said, referring to Sterling Skye and Bronze. “But love doesn’t mean letting them get lost. They need structure, they need truth. I want my son to grow up proud to be a boy, and my daughter proud to be a girl. That’s not hate — that’s parenting.”

Brittany, sitting beside him, leaned in to add:

“I see so many people in Hollywood turning their kids into talking points. One week it’s ‘no gender,’ next week it’s something else. These are children, not experiments. There’s nothing progressive about confusion.”

Those close to the couple say this issue has deeply affected them. Despite their glamorous lifestyle, Patrick and Brittany have tried to shield their children from fame — and from what they call “Hollywood’s chaos.”

“Patrick grew up in a real family with values,” a source close to the Mahomeses told reporters. “He believes kids need stability. He’s watched how social media and celebrity culture mess with identity, and he’s not letting that near his kids.”

The reaction online was immediate and explosive. Fans praised the Mahomes family for “standing up for traditional parenting,” while others criticized them for being “closed-minded.”

But Mahomes didn’t back down.

“Look,” he said. “I throw footballs for a living. I don’t play games with my kids’ identity. I’m their dad — not their influencer.”

Brittany later shared a cryptic Instagram story after the event that read:

“Structure. Stability. Love. That’s our home.”

And for the Mahomes family, that message couldn’t be clearer — they’re drawing a line between Kansas City values and Hollywood chaos.
