His wound wasn’t in his body, but in his heart…A baby elephant’s heart was broken when his mother suddenly walked away from him, for no apparent reason.
The veterinarian thought she had accidentally run him over, so he rushed to help him… but he wasn’t injured, just broken inside.
The doctor took him back to his mother, thinking that meeting her would heal him. Surprisingly, his mother pushed him away again… rejecting him with unbearable cruelty.
At that point, the baby couldn’t bear the pain anymore… he burst into tears. Five continuous hours of tears, relentless and unstoppable.
The doctor didn’t know what to do except gently embrace him, cover him with a warm blanket, and try to calm him down…
The elephant finally fell asleep, but his moans as he slept sounded like the sighs of a heartbroken child, silently moaning under a blanket of grief.
