Moved by her plight, rescuers renamed her Bamboo and arranged for her rescue. She was transported to Mandalao Elephant Conservation in Laos, where compassionate vets began her rehabilitation with urgency and tenderness. There, Bamboo received careful medical care, soft bedding, and emotional comfort as she learned what kindness felt like for the first time.
Now, after months of healing, Bamboo is blooming. Though she may never fully recover physically, she’s embraced by sanctuary life—her eyes reflecting a new hope and trust in those who saved her.
