The scenes of a pregnant stray dog who suffered abuse while trying to find food until giving birth to all her puppies touched the most sensitive nerves of millions on the internet.
Although most people enjoy the company of a pet and probably don’t even consider getting rid of their dog or cat, in some cases, coexistence between people and animals isn’t always successful.
There are many furry ones out there , helpless, rejected, sad and without someone to love them.
This is the story of a little dog named Lisa , who was found lying on the road , on the cold asphalt, a victim of human ignominy.
She was pregnant , and this apparently didn’t matter to her alleged attacker, as she was seriously injured.
When she was found by an angelic child, the little girl didn’t even have enough strength to stand up , making her rescue even more difficult.
Although the story of the collapsed, pregnant dog went viral, no one else came forward to help her.
When the angels at the Dublin Shelter animal welfare organization finally caught wind of the situation, it was too late to rescue her little puppies . She lost them all, tragically and quietly, in her grief.
“A boy found a pregnant stray dog that had been attacked and thrown into the road. We rushed to find her immediately, but couldn’t find her. Our volunteers continued searching for her and later found her walking along the road,” the organization reported.
And this is the story of many beings like Lisa, voiceless, who experience the heartbreak of those they once trusted, believed in, and loved with all their being, and who then must deal with these kinds of situations.
“It appears she had just given birth, but unfortunately, she lost all her puppies, suffering from rectal prolapse and becoming depressed. We were worried she might bolt if we approached her with food, but thankfully, the food caught her attention,” a spokesperson for the organization added.
Little by little, but with great determination and firm steps, the group of volunteers approached the dog and managed to bring her to a safe place to help with her rehabilitation. However, this wasn’t easy.
It took a long process for him to start improving.
Fortunately, Lisa was rescued and is now recovering. Today, she is already showing clear signs of improvement.
She’s eating well, she’s much calmer, and little by little she’s getting better.
“She was extremely thin, dehydrated, weak, and anemic, a result of abuse during pregnancy and the loss of her babies. Why would someone do this to this poor stray dog? Did they beat her just because she tried to find food for her babies?” the organization commented.
Of course, after having suffered such despicable cruelty, Lisa was frightened, distrustful, and constantly on the defensive . She refused even to drink, so she was given the vital fluid through a syringe.
Although the little furry friend still has a long way to go to reach her ideal shape, she’s beginning to show signs of having an extraordinary personality . She’s even going out for walks and exercising a little, enjoying the love she was once denied.
Enough of a world so indolent and merciless toward animals, but when harm is done to a pregnant furry friend, what more can we expect from humanity? Luckily, Lisa has the love of her heroes, who are ready to do anything until she makes a full recovery
