Guardiola is in pursuit of a new centre-back, and City have been associated with a potential signing of Palmeiras’ Vitor Reis.

mThe 18-year-old defender has reached a personal agreement with City, and they are currently in the process of negotiating a permanent contract, as per Fabrizio Romano.

The two clubs are currently in discussions, and City is seeking to finalise the agreement for approximately £33 million. City are eager to finalise the agreement promptly in order to prevent other clubs from competing for him, as the situation is “advancing rapidly.” City seem to have resumed their form following a dismal decline in the previous two months.

After only securing one victory in the previous 13 matches, they have now won consecutive games in the Premier League. Who else could Manchester City potentially recruit? The Brazilian defender has advanced through the youth levels at Palmeiras and has appeared in nine matches for the senior team.

It is unsurprising that the Brazilian club is demanding a high transfer fee for him, given that he was recognised as one of the most promising young players in the world of football in 2023.

This month, Manchester City is in the process of finalising agreements to sign Omar Marmoush and Abdukodir Khusanov, as per a report from The Athletic.

David Ornstein stated that negotiations are progressing and that City has increased their recruitment efforts for both players. Eintracht Frankfurt’s Marmoush had an exceptional season, netting 13 goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have also expressed interest in Lens’ 20-year-old centre defender, Khusanov. City is currently sixth in the Premier League table, having accrued 34 points from 20 games. They are still more than capable of achieving a top-four finish.
